in Action!

The MJIF is dedicated to helping Jewish believers in Israel get through temporary emergency situations.

Sometimes your check makes the difference between a family remaining in Israel, or having to leave due to financial hardships. Your check can make the difference in a pastor having materials and equipment to minister to the lost, or losing people because there is no one helping him to establish a much needed congregation.

Your check now, no matter the amount, will enable many to get the medical help they would not get otherwise... and your support of God's people in Israel today will supply food, clothing and school supplies to families, and it will let them know they are not alone.

Needs from Israel*...

YOUNG ISRAELI FAMILY IN NEED

Dear MJIF,

We are a young Israeli family with a two year old and a baby on the way. We live in a small apartment ten minutes from Jerusalem, and attend a messianic fellowship in Jerusalem.

We are writing to see if you can help us get out of the debt we are in and try to get our heads over the water. I work full time and I did have four years of bible college, but I cannot work at that since ministry work cannot pay a familys salary. I work wherever else I can find work, but there is little work in Israel now. My wife does the best she can, doing cleaning. But she cannot do this any more due to her baby coming.

We will appreciate any help you can give us. It is embarrassing to ask for help but we can do nothing else.

Tal and Lora are humble, spirit-filled worshippers of God. They are simple people who clean houses, paint, work in shops or whatever they can do to get shekels to stay in the Land. They have to leave Israel for two to three months each year to work and make enough money to go back and maintain their presence in Israel.

They spend hours in intercession for Israel and the believers there. I personally met Tal eight years ago in Canada and and encouraged him to go back to his homeland, Israel. Tal worked hard to get certified as a semi-truck driver and a license in Israel, but with the current economy, there is no work in his field, so he takes anything he can find.

Any help from the MJIF would be a god-send to this couple, and very much appreciated.

K.M.

Hope and a Future

She is a Jewish believer from Argentina, living in Israel and raising a young daughter on welfare. She is an educated woman who owned her own business in Argentina, and opened a restaurant in Israel shortly after making aliyah. Due to her unfamiliarity with the complex Israeli system, and incorrect advice from the business agencies there, she soon lost everything.

She works wherever the Ministry of Labor sends her, but these menial jobs do not even pay the rent, not to mention other necessities. She is very diligent and intelligent woman, and mature in her faith. The leaders in Israel believe that with a little help, and an Israeli business course, she will soon be back on her feet as a productive citizen. If the MJIF will help to give her hope through prayer and finances, she can rebuild a future for herself and her little girl.

Thank you for considering Elise and her situation.

Son Died of Cancer

Shalom,

I moved to Israel from Hungary a few years ago. I have three children and my elderly mother to care for.

My father died a few months ago, and my oldest son recently died of an incurable illness. So much of my time has been spent caring for sick members of my family that outside work is very difficult.

I am in desperate need of temporary living expenses. Would the MJIF help me get back on my feet? I would very much be appreciative of whatever you can do.

God bless you,
V.S.

Dental Help

Katya is a young mother of two boys, working alone to raise her family. Katya is in desperate need of dental work, but with everything she makes going for rent and the boys, she has nothing for herself. Katya gets food from her congregation, which helps, but still... there is nothing left for Katya. Will you help?

Poverty Level Income

Dotti,

Thank you for coming to Israel every year to build relationships with the 'family' in Israel and bringing support to the poor.

I would like to request financial aid for a very special woman in our congregation. Stella has been diagnosed with cancer and is already under serious chemotherapy. In grappling with the progress of the disease the family's poverty level income has fallen even more, while her expenses have increased. The family has an extreme financial need at his time, and would be very grateful for any aid the MJIF could offer.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this urgent request.

For Israel's salvation,

E.T.
Pastor

It's not easy to get work...

Shmu'el lost his job two years ago after working as a Microbiologist for 30 years. His wife has a job, but with irregular income. It is not easy to get work when you grow older, but Shmu'el still believes God will provide as he continues to look for work.

No Funds

Yosef is a young builder who was hired to remodel a house. He spent all his funds to buy materials for the project, but then the people backed out, leaving Yosef with building supplies he cannot use and no food for his families table. He was advised to take them to court (which could take years in Israel), but he has no money to go through that process. Like so many other young families in the Land, they just need a little help to get started.

Please Pray For New Congregation

Shalom friends:

Since we moved into our new place and have erected a clear sign near the street, our members have experienced increasing problem: Cancer in one lady; two miscarrages for another; accidents, broken bones, sickness and hospitale visits. We have never had so many cases like this at one time. We know the enemy is afraid with so many coming to the congregation and receiving the Lord.

We feel that we are under attack and Satan's desire is to rob us of our health, joy, strength and excitment.

We need you to stand with uspray for protection, for healing encouragement and for the forces of darkness to be defeated in this land.

A heart full of thanks,

Y.O.
